Wild Hogs II Photos and Videos

Wild Hogs II, Day 1
On day one we traveled from Harrisburg, PA to North Adams, MA. We made a stop in Newburgh, NY to visit the World Headquarters of OCC (Orange County Choppers) . From there we stopped in Rock Tavern (a couple mile up the road) to visit V-Force Customs, the new business of Vinnie and Cody formerly of OCC fame.  We made it to Clarksburg State Park about 7:30 that evening and set up camp. Here are some photos of the day.

Wild Hogs II, Day 2
On day two we took a ride up Mt. Greylock, the highest mountain in the state of Massachusetts. It was a great run up and back with spectacular views. From there we made a trip to Bennington, Vt. on the advice of one of the locals. It was a nice ride and a nice little town. We tried to go see three covered bridges but due to road construction and other issues we only ended up finding one. From there we visited a war memorial, then on to the Hemmings Motor News Classic Auto Display. We decided to take the "scenic" route back to camp and found ourselves riding dirt roads through the mountains of Vermont and Massachusetts. Here are photos of the day along with some select videos as well.

The One Covered Bridge We Did Find
We were fortunate enough to find one of the three covered bridges we were looking for. Here we are crossing it.

 Wild Hogs II, Day 2
Four Wheelin' on 2 Wheels
On one of the back mountain roads we encountered a large mud hole. This is video of Jay's attempt to cross it. I had already run through it and nearly go stuck by going too slow. Jay thought speed would be the answer and hit it a little too fast. Kevin showed the most sense and just went around it. These roads were legitimate roads with names and signs. They even were registered in the GPS. Amazing!

An Example of VT and MA Country Roads
We decided to take the scenic route back to our camp from Bennington VT.. Little did we know that Their idea of roads included dirt tracks that most people would not take a nice car on. These roads all had names and were in the GPS. This video is an example of one that was actually one of the better ones. Some like the ones in the pics above were as narrow as 6' in places.

Wild Hogs II, Day 3
Trip To Boston

On day 3 we decided to make the trip to Boston. It was about 150 miles. The weather was nice that morning, but by the time we made Boston it was very hot and very humid. We started at the Naval Shipyards with the idea of seeing the USS Constitution. Upon arrival we realized the wait in the sun was going to be unbearable and decided to pass that up and tour the USS Cassin Young, a destroyer from WWII which had no line and was also free. It was interesting and we spent some time exploring the ship. When we were done we decided that lunch was in order and found a place nearby called Pappa Ginos. We enjoyed the pizza and air conditioning for about an hour and a half then decided that it was just too hot to enjoy riding around the city on a motorcycle. We agreed that we would head back to camp as it was about a 3 hour ride. About halfway back we hit heavy rain, but it was so hot, we really didn't mind. We didn't get as many pictures as we had on other days, but here is some of what we did get.

Here is video of some of the rain we hit on the way back to camp.
